Pia Magalona, wife of the late Francis Magalona was hurt to find out that some people are exploiting his husband’s death by organizing tribute events, which she did not approve. Through the social networking site Facebook, two daughters of the late “Master Rapper,” found about the “illegal” tribute events for their father to be held in Ontario, Canada and Dubai.
Pia immediately called the attention of the event organizers by sending a messaging through the social networking site informing that she did not approve any of those two tribute events.
“Nagpost kaagad ako ng message doon sa dalawang concerned na ‘yon na sinabi ko na wala akong nalalaman na mga events na binigyan ko ng blessing ko na pwede silang magtipon-tipon at maggawa ng show na magpapa-ticket and all. I want to tell the public any, and all tribute shows or benefit shows nakini-claim para kay Francis M and for Philippine National Red Cross wala ‘yang blessings naming. Bigyan man lang nila ng decency na mag-ask ng permission ko,” said the wife of Francis Magalona in an interview with “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon” clarifying that there’s no such thing as “Francis M Foundation” the supposed beneficiary of the tribute shows.
Pia added that in any case that there would be a tribute show for Francis M, the announcement should come from them.
