The entertainment press cornered Gretchen Barretto during the press conference of her latest album “Complicated” under Star Records, a follow-up on her first album “Unexpected.” On Sunday, March 29, the actress-singer appeared on “The Buzz’s Tough Ten” segment where she failed to answer two questions.
On the “The Buzz,” host Boy Abunda asked Gretchen whether her groom-to-be has already asked her the question, ‘Will you marry me?’ The entertainment press begged for an explanation from Gretchen why she failed to answer the question.
“Hindi ko nga nasagot, e. Ba’t n’yo pinapasagot ngayon, hindi ko nga sinagot, e!
“May kasabihin nga na parang hangga’t nandun ka na sa simbahan, hangga’t nag-’I do’, hindi mo malalaman kung ‘yon talaga. Hindi mo malaman kung ‘groom-to-be mo’ ‘yon unless nandun ka na, all set ka na, nakadamit ka na at nandun ka na sa simbahan. Siyempre, nasa utak mo ‘yon. It’s your dream, pangarap mo ‘yon. Pero iba yung handa ka na, andun ka na, ready ka na to walk. Doon mo lang malalaman yung ‘groom-to-be’ mo,” the actress-singer said.
Rumors are being passed on in the past few weeks that she and boyfriend Tony Boy Cojuangco are now separated.
“Tony is my best friend, and we will be BFF, best friends for life. For me kasi, ‘yan ang highest form of relationship, ‘yong friends kayo. That’s what’s important, you have respect and love for each other,” answered Gretchen when asked on the status of her relationship with Tony Boy Cojuangco.
