Winner of Pinoy Dream Academy season two Laarni Lozada has earned her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education at the Philippine Women’s University, ABS-CBN News reported.
Lozada, a working student since her freshman days, said that she really determined in getting a college degree.
“From the very start kasi, nung first-year college pa ako, independent na ako. Walang nagpapaaral sa akin kung hindi sarili ko lang. Working student ako. Noong second year, nagkaroon ako ng scholarship pero nung third year na ako, nawala ang scholarship ko dahil sa pressure sa trabaho, pagkanta, pag-aaral, yun ang big challenge ko, walang scholarship,” she said.
Shifting from AB Music to BS Secondary Education didn’t hinder her from fulfilling her dream to became a singer. She joined the PWU Church chorale, Amabassadors of Light, and Malate Church Chorale.
She is looking forward to taking the Licensure Examinations for Teachers (LET). But now, she’ll be focusing on her singing career.
