Demi Moore and husband Ashton Kutcher are two of many Hollywood personalities who are regularly posting at the microblogging site, Twitter.
On Friday, Moore, 46 has received a suicide threat on her Twitter timeline from a woman saying, “getting a knife, a big one that is sharp. Going to cut my arm down the whole arm so it doesn’t waste time.” Moore then responded to the said “tweet” with the comment, “Hope you are joking.”
Demi Moore is in Southern France with husband Ashton Kutcher, who is filming a drama entitled “Five Killers.”
Twitter followers were able to track the “tweet” to be from San Jose, California. Authorities had found a 48-year-old woman and was taken into custody for “psychological evaluation.”
Moore, then posted a “tweet” after two hours saying: “Thanks everyone for reaching out to the San Jose PD i am told they are aware and no need to call anymore. I do not know this woman.”
According to a police spokesman, a concerned citizen, neither Kutcher nor Moore informed the police department about the suicide threat in Twitter.
