HINDI MAITATANGGING SOBRANG sikat na ni Charice Pempengco sa buong mundo. “International singing sensation” na nga ang bansag sa kanya. Hindi man siya nanalo sa Little Big Star, eh, napakarami pa rin niyang napahanga dahil sa galing niya sa pagkanta.

17 years old pa lamang si Charice pero maya’t maya na ang pagpunta niya sa ibang bansa para sa iba’t ibang guestings. Para ngang isang tambling at isang kembot lang niya, eh, nasa Amerika na siya. Close na nga si Charice sa mga sikat na Hollywood personalities tulad nina Oprah, Ellen De Generes, David Foster, Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, at marami pang iba.

Siyempre, busy rin naman ang bata sa kanyang mga commitment dito sa Pilipinas tulad ng pagpu-promote ng kanyang album na My Insipiration under Star Records na malapit nang maging platinum record. Kumusta naman kaya ang naging concert niya sa SMX Convention Center kamakailan?

Maliban sa kanyang international album na malapit nang ilabas, eh, inaabangan din naman ng kanyang fans ang kanyang international film na Alvin and the Chipmunks. Kamakailan lang, inilabas na ang first international single ni Charice na Note to God.

Ang tanong: May panahon pa bang magpahinga at mag-enjoy ang isang tulad ni Charice Pempengco?

Sana naman may panahon pa si Charice na ma-enjoy ang kanyang kabataan. Balita ko kasi maraming bawal kainin si Charice tulad ng ice cream para na rin mapangalagaan ang boses niya.

Sa sobrang daming ginagawa ni Charice, eh, sana nakakahanap pa siya ng oras para magpahinga. Uso pa naman ang mga sakit ngayon kaya naman importante rin ang pagpapahinga. Pero siyempre, nandiyan naman lagi si Mommy Raquel sa tabi ni Charice para gabayan at alagaan siya.

Pero, may isang bagay na lagi kong napapansin tuwing mapapanood ko ang international singing sensation sa TV. Oo, sobrang talented nga ni Charice pero hindi naman puwede na puro talent na lang. Hindi naman pangit si Charice. Sabi nga ni Paris Hilton, eh, ang cute-cute ni Charice at parang keychain daw na gusto niyang iuwi. Kaso, madalas kong napapansin ang mga damit at accessory ni Charice sa shows at guestings niya. Sino ba ang stylist ni Charice? Naku, mukhang kailangan na ni Charice ng bagong stylist. Kadalasan, eh, napapansin ko na parang pangmatanda ang ayos niya. ‘Yon din naman ang comment ng mga kakilala ko. ‘Wag naman sanang magalit ang fans ni Charice. Pero bata pa naman si Charice at sana ‘yung babagay sa kanyang edad ang mga kasuotan niya. Hindi ko naman sinasabing gawing Barbie doll si Charice, ‘noh! Kulang kasi ng pa-tweetums factor ang get-up niya, ‘di ba? May K naman siyang mag-pacute at magpa-tweetums.

Kaya naman sana, medyo baguhin ng kaunti ang wardrobe ni Charice at gawing mas bagay sa edad niya. Siyempre, buong mundo ang nakatutok sa bawat kilos niya. Kaya dapat bongga lagi ang get-up niya. Dapat ‘yung get-up na pang teen superstar! Ikaw, anong say mo sa get-up ni Charice?

The young diva Charice Pempengco wowed the audience during her performance at Italy’s musical variety show “Ti Lascio Una Canzone,” ABS-CBNNews reported. The show was broadcasted by Rai Uno.

Charice performed a couple of songs including “I Will Always Love You,” “I Have Nothing,” and “Listen.”

The audience gave the 16-year-old singer a standing ovation after singing “The Prayer.”

“Actually I’m very happy because Italy and the Philippines both love music,” Charice said in an interview.

Charice, who began her singing career by joining a singing career said, “My mom taught me how to sing. I just want to say to all the kids to continue pursuing their dreams. That’s what I did. Continue soaring high because we love music.”

Filipino singer Charice first performed in Italy on July 2008 with Andrea Bocelli at the Teatro del Silenzio.

The World singing sensation Charice Pempengco has been in the United States for the past few weeks for the filming of her first-ever Hollywood movie. Charice has been “casted” on the second installment of “Alvin and the Chimpmunks,” which is entitled “The Squeakquel” being produced by 20th Century Fox.

Some scenes were shot at the Woodrow Wilson Classical High School in Long Beach, California. Charice is with her mother, Racquel and another companion.

The film is set to be released in the US some time in December this year and in the Philippines some time in January 2010.

Charice would be playing as herself in the said movie.

“It’s a dream come true for me,” Charice said in a phone interview.

“My mom is a big fan of the Chipmunks and that’s how I got to know the group,” she continued.

“It’s not a big role, but the fact that it’s a Hollywood movie is already a big deal for me.”

Alicia Keys’ “No One” is one the songs she performed in the said movie.

The film will feature the voices of Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, and Jesse McCartney. – With reports from Philippine Daily Inquirer and Philippine Star
