“BFF: Best Friends Forever” is Star Cinema’s latest movie offering starring the Comedy Box Office Queen Ai-ai de las Alas and Megastar Sharon Cuneta. This would be the first time that the two would be seen in the big screen. The comedy film is due for release in Philippine theaters on May 13.

In an interview, Ai-ai de las Alas shared that she considers the Megastar, as her “BFF (best friends forever)” while Kris Aquino as her “friendship.”

“Kasi hindi ako inaaway ni Senator (Kiko Pangilinan, Sharon’s husband). Charing lang! Si Kris kasi matagal ko na siyang friend since ‘yun nga, ayaw naman sa akin ni James Yap, so dun na ako sa may gusto sa akin.”

James Yap, Kris Aquino’s husband accused de las Alas before of snooping with the couple’s (James and Kris) past affairs.

Although Aquino and de las Alas have already made up, the latter said that her friendship with Sharon Cuneta started way back 2003.

“Siyempre bati na kami ni Friendship (Kris). Pero kasi noon pa kami close ni Mega hindi lang kasi nabigyan ng pagkakataon na ma-telebisyon ‘yung friendship namin. ‘Yung sa amin ni Friendship on national television, nagtatawagan kami ng Friendship,” the comedienne clarified.

The cast of Star Cinema’s Mother’s Day offering also includes John Estrada, Gina Pareño, Chokoleit, Empress Schuck, Enchong Dee and AJ Perez. But there are rumors that Sharon Cuneta’s former husband, Gabby Concepcion will make a cameo appearance on the movie.

“Hindi ko pa alam. Natanong ko na ‘yan . Ang tanong ko na lang ‘Saan isisingit si Gabby?’ Pero if ever ready naman ako, of course. Sino naman ang tatanggi kay Gabby? Hindi ko lang alam saan sa istorya siya ilalagay kasi natapos ko na ‘yung ending. Halos tapos na ‘yung buong pelikula. Ang hindi na lang nakukunan ‘yung mga sundot-sundot na eksena. Hindi pa naman impossible, aaralin ko lang kung paano,” Director Wenn Deramas said.

Star Cinema’s “BFF: Best Friends Forever” is opening in Philippine theaters this May 13.

(UPDATE 10:00pm) – Several reports were published that actress Judy Ann Santos and actor Ryan Agoncillo have tied the knot Tuesday morning at the San Juan Nepomuceno Church in San Juan, Batangas. Fr. Tito Caluag officiated the nuptial mass.

The ceremony was closed to the media. The wedding, which lasted for almost an hour, was attended by big showbiz personality like Senator Francis Pangilinan, wife Sharon Cuneta, and daughter KC Concepcion, Suzy Entrata, Paolo Abrera, Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, and directors Joyce Bernal and Rory Quintos.

Megastar Sharon Cuneta acted as the matron of honor while Dondi, Ryan Agoncillo’s brother stood as best man.

The list of Ryan and Judy Ann’s principal sponsors includes Mon Isberto, Smart Communications spokesman; Bien Bautista, Ace photographer; Benjie Gonzales, Ryan’s uncle from the US; Susie Entrata-Abrera, TV Host; Rory Quintos, TV & Movie Director; and Jane Buencamino, Judy Ann’s road manager.

The bride walked down the aisle to the song “Runaway” sung live by Agot Isidro. Couple Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid also sang “The Prayer” during the offertory while Agot Isidro and Ogie Alcasid sang the communion song “One Hand, One Heart.”

ABS-CBN News reported that a breakfast/lunch wedding reception was held at a private resort, still in San Juan, Batangas. A beachfront dinner reception  then followed at around 4:00pm and is still ongoing as of this writing in Anilao, Batangas.

The wedding suppliers are mum about the big showbiz wedding as the couple imposed a P5-million fine to anyone who would leak the details of the wedding.

“Eto na. Inuman na. Punta kang nakaputi.” are the words written on the wedding invitation that comes with a piece of slipper.

Actor Ryan Agoncillo proposed to the actress last year during the celebration of the actress’ 30th birthday.

The making of the wedding and the wedding ceremony itself would be broadcasted by ABS-CBN on Sunday, May 17, 2009.

The two will be seen on the upcoming television series “George and Cecil.”

Actress KC Concepcion is now back in the country after the filming of ABS-CBN upcoming television series “Lovers in Paris” (filming done in Paris) and her speaking engagement in Rome, Italy.

Co-star Piolo Pascual volunteered to accompany KC in Rome.

“Mayroon po akong assignment sa Rome. They took advantage of the fact na nandun na ako sa Europe and then nung kinwento ko kay PJ (Piolo), he also loves Italy very much and nag-offer siya na samahan ako kasi mag-isa lang talaga ako dapat pupunta,” KC shared with “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon.”

KC has finally reacted on her parents’, Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion recent reunion at the ABS-CBN studios.

“Of course, nakakatuwa naman po. Like I always say andami na nilang napagdaanan na alam na nating lahat. Parang happy ending na siya ngayon. Sana they’ll remember the love team for what it was. Anyway andito naman ako, ang produkto ng love team na ‘yon. Just leave the past to the past and be happy for them because I’m very happy that they’re at peace. ‘Yon naman ang importante,” said KC.

KC also shared with the press her experiences while filming in Paris.

“Nag-taping po kami ng two weeks do’n, siyempre there’s no place like home. We’re happy to be back although ang dami talaga naming natapos. Lahat ng kailangang tapusin for Lovers in Paris, eh talaga namang nagawa naming tapusin. Kami-kami lang and sobrang liit lang po ng team namin. Ang ganda ng feeling na lahat kami nagkasundo at nagtulong-tulong para magawa lahat ng kailangan.”

“Wings of the Soul H.O.P.E (Healing Of Pain and Enlightenment) Volume 2,” a compilation produced by Star Records has searched gold-record status since its release on November 2008 said Star Records Managing Director Annabel Regalado-Borja in a press conference held March 19, 2009.

The “Wings of the Soul” album is Lorna Tolentino’s project with the said recording company. The actress is busy promoting the album in different ABS-CBN TV shows. The album features ten songs about acceptance, surrendering, and moving on.

Personalities from the entertainment industry as well as close friends of the late Rudy Fernandez collaborated to make the compilation album possible. Sharon Cuneta, Tirso Cruz III, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, Sen. Bong Revilla, Philip Salvador, Bodie Cruz, Christopher de Leon, Boboy Martiz, Ricky Davao, Aga Muhlach, and Gary Valenciano all recorded a song to complete the said album. It is said that the people behind the album were chosen for a certain reason as well as the songs.

Lorna shared in an interview with ABS-CBN news that recording process of “Wings of the Soul” album was indeed a great help in the healing process.

“Sa palagay ko naman, kapag mayroon kang outlet noong dinadaanan mo, this is one way hindi ba na parang isang outlet mo na maging busy ka? At the same time, nare-remind ka na kumbaga, marami pang magagandang mangyayari sa buhay mo as long as buhay ka, although mas maganda ‘yong kapag wala ka na at kapiling mo ang Panginoon, iba din naman ‘yon,” she said.

Rudy Fernandez’s widow, Lorna is hoping that a concert for a cause be organized. The actress is currently busy filming for her upcoming ABS-CBN television series with actor Gabby Concepcion.
